Dr. Austin Lee is a passionate and committed general dentist with advanced education in general dentistry. He graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, and went on to Boston University School of Dental Medicine to complete his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, where he graduated top of his class with an Excellence Award.

Dr. Austin truly loves what he does, and it shows. He became a dentist because one day a dentist changed his life and entire outlook on dentistry. He says, “For the longest time, I never liked going to a dentist, as many don’t. It was scary, painful, annoying, and mostly just uncomfortable. However, it all changed when I was 18. I was surfing in Gloucester, MA, and broke my front tooth in half. I was in pain, looked terrible, and it was on a Sunday. That day, I found a dentist who changed my perception towards dentists and the experience inspired me to become one. He got me out of pain, helped me eat properly, and smile again–without pain, but with science, art, and comfort. I loved it and wanted that type of experience for everyone else who needs a dentist.”

Dr. Austin prides himself on the quality and care he provides. Along with daily routine and preventive care, he performs complex and cosmetic dentistry, including veneers, crowns/bridges, and full-mouth rehabilitations/constructions. Patients can immediately feel his empathy and kindness, as he goes above and beyond to form a lasting and trusting relationship from the very first appointment.

Dr. Austin is also available after treatment, when others may not be, to answer questions or listen to concerns and address or ease anxiety and fears. That extra effort and caring demeanor are what patients appreciate about Dr. Austin.

Previously from Boston, he had been an adjunct professor at all three dental schools in Massachusetts–Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston University School of Dental Medicine, and most recently, Harvard University School of Dental Medicine–as well as Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Austin stays ahead of the latest technological advancements within the dental field and continues his education, advancing his knowledge and skill to offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art care to his patients. He is also an active member of the Spear Institute, Pankey Institute, American Dental Association, and San Antonio District Dental Society where he serves as Board of Directors.

When Dr. Austin is not interacting with patients and working to change the perception about dental care, he’s enjoying the outdoors and hiking, fishing, or skiing.
