Dr. Hal Carlson

Dr. Hal Carlson is a true Texan with deep family roots in San Antonio, reaching back to the battle of the Alamo.

Dr. Carlson graduated from Trinity University, followed by University of Texas Health Houston School of Dentistry in 1971. He completed his 2-year duty in the Air Force, then started his private dental practice in San Antonio, serving South Texas.

Dr. Carlson held numerous positions in the local, state, and national Academy of General Dentistry and local dental society.

His passion in dentistry is truly getting to know his patients on both professional and personal level. His love towards the patients shows everyday through exchanging wonderful stories and taking his time to connect with them in each visit.

He enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, and loves spending time with his 2 children and grandchildren. He keeps busy and healthy, moving pots and soil for his wife of 40 years, Karen, who is a Master Gardener. Dr. Carlson is now retired and enjoying his time with his family.
